There are several things, I've never understood about Micheal Bay's Transformers.  Most of these are, of course, plot related. The most notable of these being the decision to take the MacGuffin/ killer robot bait into a heavily populated downtown area. We saw Wall*E tonight. I started tearing up when I realized how lonely the poor little robot was, which was what? Five? Ten minutes into the film? I managed to suck it up until about half through until I finally broke down. And the last ten minutes?
